Summary:
We were employed to convert an existing end of terrace house into a commercial space containing offices & reception areas. The existing site contained a dwelling with long rear garden.
The proposal involved re-vamping the existing dwelling, to house a reception area and small office on first floor, and designing a modern extension in the rear garden to accommodate open plan offices spaces on ground an first floor.
The material used on the extension are a mixture of contemporary timber cladding on first floor with tradition stone on ground floor in keeping with existing character of the site. The building form of the extension provides an interesting contrast to the existing built form in the area.
