Summary:
The brief for this project was to rejuvenate an old cottage to transform it into a family home.
Our approach was to create a modern two storey extension in contrast to the existing cottage in conjunction with re-organising the spaces in the existing building.
The ground floor contains a kitchen/dining area living room, large utility, bathroom and entrance hallway with stairs to first floor. On first floor we proposed 3no. bedrooms and main bathroom.
The form of the proposed extension creates an interesting contrast between the modern extension & the original cottage.
