Summary:
This dwelling is located on a sloping site with a stream running along the south-eastern boundary. The brief was to create an large open plan living area which would maximise the views of the surrounding landscape & capture large volumes of natural light.
The house was design to be raised on stilts with the floor level of the dwelling matching the public road. In doing this we were able to give an uninterrupted view of the landscape.
The central open plan kitchen/living & dining area, which is flanked by bedroom and utility spaces, opens out on to a large terrace to give a wonderful sun drenched outdoor space overlooking the surrounding landscape
