Our client wanted to create an open plan kitchen, living & dining area in their existing semi-detached dwelling. The works involved alterations to the internal space to include a new kitchen & dining area with a single storey flat roof extension to the rear housing a new living space. The clients were also keen to upgrade all the windows and doors to energy efficient triple glazing.
The living area extension consists of large amounts of triple glazed windows/doors with a built in stove. A large sliding door opens onto a paved area to the rear of the dwelling giving the extension an indoor/outdoor sense of space. The contemporary extension creates a bold contrast between the original building and the extension.
